What is Community Yoga?

Accessible & Inclusive

Community Yoga @ St. James' adapts to the needs of anyone who shows up. We have chairs, blocks, straps, and an extra mat or two to meet your body with comfort and strength. All bodies and capacities are welcome.

Balanced Movement

Each class incorporates traditional asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breathwork), and closing meditation. We focus on rooting into the fundamentals while still exploring the diversity of forms yoga offers.

Trauma-Informed & Safe

We strive to practice ahimsa (non-harm) and cultivate a culture of consent. You can choose where you place your mat, if you would like adjustments, and what shapes you explore. You have control over how you participate.
